ARTC Election 2019 Campaign Speech William Alan Ritch
I have been associated with ARTC for a long time - but not since the beginning.
My first work with ARTC was adapting a short story into an audio play. At the time I worked with a fannish stage theatre group called "The Mighty Rassilon Art Players." I was soon helping ARTC with technical assistance with the few live productions they did within the year.
For many years I was the main producer and tech lead for ARTC productions, under the tutelage of William Brown and Tom Fuller. After Tom Fuller's passing I devoted even more of my time to ARTC.
I have produced, written, directed, sound designed, and roadied many ARTC productions over the past 30 years.
My vision for ARTC is that the organization be as much fun as possible for our members because that will transmitted to our audience and they will enjoy us having and sharing our fun.
Theatre is also a lot of work - along with the fun - but what keeps it fun is that we are creating the kind of theatrical experience we, ourselves, enjoy.
Also - we must remember that ARTC is an educational organization, 5010(c)(3) in IRS lingo, and part of mission is to educate others about history, the importance, and the enjoyment of audio theatre.
Thank you,
Bill -- William Alan Ritch
