ARTC Election 2019 Campaign Speech Ellie Cook

I’m Ellie Cook and I’ve been involved with ARTC since June of 2018. I attended rehearsal for the first time because of my interest in radio theatre, both as an actress and as a writer. I discovered a tremendous collection of talent and people I loved to spend time with. I was hooked.

I have a degree in music, specifically vocal performance and pedagogy, and a long history in theatre. I’ve been teaching music and drama to adults, youth and children for 20 years now. I’ve been a stage director, music director, singer and actress on more productions than I can count and I’ve written plays, both musical and otherwise, in a range of styles, including audio drama.

I am deeply committed to helping ARTC achieve its artistic goals, and believe I can be especially useful to the board in our educational capacity. I would love to use my skills and experience to help realize our fullest potential.

This company has done incredible things over the past few decades and I look forward to being a part of breaking new ground and taking ARTC even further.
