			Gina is a friend of Max and Dr. Clark from before the zombies came. In the pre-fall days she had an artistic bent doing mostly performance art and volunteering at a local children's hospital. Max met her in an unnamed play they were in together, Dr. Clark met her while she was doing a stand up routine at a coffee shop. None of the other characters know her. Gina thinks the Zombie Friends Association is an existential threat to humanity and not the group of fringe weirdos that a lot of other people treat them as. She advocates for a strong resistance to the ZFA and thinks that nobody is taking the issue seriously enough.

			(She/Her) Sam (last name unknown) is a young woman, 27 years old, which means she was 19 when the zombies rose up. But she doesn't know anything about that because shortly before Outbreak Day she was in a car accident with her mom and little sister (whereabouts of these people unknown) and slipped into a coma. Or at least that's what she claims. Her story is mysterious in that she wakes up with all of the machines in the hospital turned off. But at some point they must have worked in order to facilitate her survival. And someone must have taken care of her. But she woke up alone and then went looking for her best friend, Amy. Michelle thinks she wasn't in a coma, but that she instead had some kind of dissociative event such as dissociative amnesia, dissociative identity disorder, or even dissociative fugue. In either case, dissociative event or coma, Sam is trying to navigate a world where she has literally no context for how things work anymore and is trying her best to stay on top of the life she wants to lead.

			The Charmoskites, the luck-god worshipers, have rallied around Sam and regard her as a kind of holy figure. To them she is the living embodiment of someone who had a lucky escape, even though zombies weren't what she escaped from. They regard her presence among them as a genuine miracle. Sam, for her part, doesn't understand and just wants answers. She doesn't want this kind of attention and doesn't want to be part of anybody's spiritual journey.

			Update: 2025-04-13 - After the events in Year Three (Days 775-780a) Jaymey became disillusioned with the team. He did eventually hear that Max had thanked them for filling in, but by that time the damage had been done. Jamey now believes that the radio station is an unreliable method of conveying a hopeful message to the masses due to the power requirements that not everybody has access to and the uncertain broadcast range. He stops short of saying what the Mercury team is doing is a waste of time, but he thinks it's inefficient and has started a newspaper with Mary Striker and Adam Allen called the Network of Hope Bulletin.

	Hawkeye (they/them) is a local sharpshooter. They were first referred to when the zombie horde Medusa was coming into the area. They would take the high ground and pick off zombies that were about to catch people so they could get away. Not much is known about Hawkeye. They are a private person. On 2023-06-01 Hawkeye went missing during the Goose Lake/Zombie Friends Association War and has not been seen since. Agnes periodically finds evidence that they are still out there (fresh arrows, other equipment, etc), but they seem reluctant to come back to be an active part of the community, assuming they're still alive at all. Agnes is discouraged from seeking them out by the other members of the team. They were first referred to when the zombie horde Medusa was coming into the area. They would take the high ground and pick off zombies that were about to catch people so they could get away. Not much is known about Hawkeye. They are a private person. On 2023-06-01 Hawkeye went missing during the Goose Lake/Zombie Friends Association War and has not been seen since. Agnes periodically finds evidence that they are still out there (fresh arrows, other equipment, etc), but they seem reluctant to come back to be an active part of the community, assuming they're still alive at all. Agnes is discouraged from seeking them out by the other members of the team. 			Nichola Halley Ingram, formerly known as Gabriella Penelope Turner, was renamed on 2025-02-25 (Day 2699). The in-world reason for the name change is that she did a tarot reading for a man who misinterpreted what she told him and ended up spending a year in a cave for no reason. Nichola is still dedicated to giving advice to people and mentoring them when possible in an effort to help guide people in their life, but she has given up all aspects of her "psychic medium" persona. The storytelling reason for the name change is that the original concept had been to use ChatGPT to help write this character's dialogue, but that experiment failed for a variety of reasons and the writers no longer us ChatGPT to help write dialogue or episodes in general. As such, the name Gabriella Penelope Turner (GPT) was no longer appropriate since it implied that this tool was still part of the storytelling experience. The new name, Nichola Halley Ingram, uses the initials NHI, Natural Human Intelligence, the term considered the opposite of Artificial Intelligence. The way the characters interact with Nichola and how they feel about her has not changed and her backstory, included below, remains the same.
